I ordered a Cruzerlite bugdroid, most people on xda seem to think it's the best slim fit case

Just got mine today as well. It's the most superbly built phone I've ever used. I'd say that only the Z3 has one up on it. Battery is exceptional as expected, screen-on time of 5 hours and it's lost 11% charge.

I also have one and the battery is good. But 11% discharge with 5 hours screen on time??

Is your brightness set to 0% perhaps?

No idea what's running or not and what the screen settings are as I have it in stamina mode while I'm learning my way through the phone and transferring all my stuff over from my previous phone. Will do a proper test from full charge a bit later...

Maybe 11% left?

Yeah it's a great phone, very happy with it. I've now realised the potential of Google now, because I have enough battery life to keep location services on permanently.

Just a bit peeved with how Sony isn't playing nice with regards to rooting the device. There is a 2600$ bounty on xda for whoever can root the phone without losing the DRM keys etc...

Or maybe WiFi and radios were off?
5hrs SOT at 11% is around 2% of battery use per hour!

I would love one.. But took a gable and dropped apple for a z2... The camera was crap, music player crap.. Screen touch was slow and phone calls where horrendous! Could not hear anything. Now i am on a iphone 6 and scared of sony z phones.... But really want a waterproof phn.

Think you might have had a faulty phone.

I have not seen one negative review for the Z3 Compact, in fact, Marques Brownlee named it the best phone for 2014, in the category phones with a display smaller than 5''.

Go get one. ;)

Why?

So you can install pirate play store?
Have you ever even rooted a phone to know what it actually does?

You can install pirate apps without root, I want to use root only apps such as taker...
