I am experiencing a weird bug (I suspect). Twice I have found that if I am active in an app and someone calls me I can't get out of the app to answer it or see who is calling... The home and back buttons vanish and the app doesn't give way to the call...

Do you have that gesture feature enabled where you can put the phone to your ear while it's ringing and it answers? Just a work around

I didn't have notifications set for callerUI (I think that's what it is called). So now I have a new issue. I left my phone at a mate on Saturday night and the battery ran out my Sunday midday and I had changed my GMail password in the interim. Well, when I powered up my phone I noticed widgets were missing from my home screen and I couldn't log onto play store because my account password had changed. I tried a few things and eventually deleted my google account and recreated it using new password. Now I don't have any contacts and my phone won't sync contacts. Real pain in the arse!

Damn...knew I should not have seen this phone in the flesh. Walked past a Vodashop...thought, lemme just see this thing instead of oogling over pics on the net. So frickin nice...now I want one. My S3 still doing just fine, although it lags a bit here and there...so I dont need a new phone...I just want one, the Z3 compact.

Must resist...

the one feature that really impresses me is the range of the WiFi reception. My Xperia V could not see the home WiFi in the bedroom, but the Z3c connects very easily.

Just do it. You'll be a lot happier at the end of the day.

Does anyone do anything to get longer battery life on the Z3 Compact?
Not that it is necessary. Lol.

My screen brightness is at about 65%. I have Location, wifi, Mobile Data on 24/7. And still get to about 70% left at the end of the day.

That is with fair usage. Mostly Facebook, WhatsApp, Twitter, Inatagram, very little calls.

Really?? Put it in Flight Mode and see how long it lasts.

A smartphone is not about the battery, but rather the experience.

Just buy another battery if you want longer battery life.

Well well well, rumour has it Xperia Z4 might be unveiled in March 2015, with a release as early as April. Sure...IF its true, it wont be here for at least 3 months after that...but it might just be worth the wait?

Itching to get a Z3 but if it will be replaced in 6 months...I wont be impressed :/

6 month release cycle means that the Z4 will probably be here soon, and 6 months later the Z5 will be released etc. If you're going to keep putting it off, you'll never end up getting anything :p Heck the Z1 is still pretty similar to the Z3 spec-wise, so you'll probably get 2 years out of it easily...

Why won't you be impressed?

I'll be more than happy with a Z3 Compact for the forseeable future. It's really all I want and need in a phone.

The Z4 will just be more of the same, unless it has a hololens that pops out of the phone's front lens. :D

The phone came out 2 months ago already. Tech moves forward. If you don't like it get a 3310. The phone's specs don't get magically down graded if another one gets released.

Even if the Z4 got anounced today, it would still take months to land in ZA.

You didn't read my full post. If you did you wouldn't have replied with that silly answer.

I don't need more battery life. I'm just curious to know how other users utilize their Z3 Compact.

Think its time I went back to a Vodashop for my upgrade :D

Hey guys, do you know where the best place is to buy a Z3 Compact? Not contract (I have a contract, phone got stolen).

Orange store is the cheapest but they don't have stock or any idea when they will get.
