I wonder when we'll be able to get this. Hope it doesn't take too long

One thing that concerned me is that they mentioned Googles first release of Lollipop? Please tell me they're at least using 5.0.1 or 5.0.2

Yeah, I'm pretty sure I saw 5.0.2 on one of the videos I saw. Was actually from Sony itself

Let's hope they don't give us a faulty Lollipop full of glitches.

Can't wait to update my Z3 Compact and Z Ultra.

IS the Lollipop Firmware not available somewhere to download?

There used to be a program called SUS (sony Update service) from back in the Ericsson days but sadly Sony pulled the plug on that sometime last year. You could then select any region's software vesion. I Used it to flash a Nordic version on my Xperia z so that I can get early updates and no bloatware! Easy stuff! No rooting etc required.

If you want to do it now it is a bit more difficult now...you need to root your phone so that you can change some device id number (imei number?) to another region's where the update is available so that when you connect your phone to pc companion it picks up that there is an update available. Too much effort......

Alternatively you can also do it all manually...pretty sure you will be able to find it over at the XDA forum site....but root is required and you have to flash it manually.

Damn I tried to install this anyway, just hoping it would somehow work, but it said support for the application has ended :(

Have to say im very impressed with the z3 compact. A little beast of a device! My girlfriend got one last week and I cant keep my hands off it. Sony really has a winner here with their compact range.

Anyone know where to get the magnetic charger? If not, I'll probably get one or two off eBay.

Yeah your best bet would be eBay. I got 2 of those magnetic charging cables. Cost me like R60 for both with free shipping (granted it's taken about a month to get here lol). Unless you want to pay R500 for a Sony dock
