Just saw that Vodacoms price for a Z3 Compact is about R6500...so FNB have a way inflated price. Sure, you have the benefit of paying it off over installments, but that benefit is at a cost of over R2000?? Erm...no thanks. :wtf:

That's actually a great price :D. I paid R4700 for my one new in the classifieds just over two months ago. Sold it for R4500 about 2 weeks back

I bought mine off Orange bundled with another phone, sold the other phone and it ended up costing me 5100 I think...

Such a great phone. I'd buy one in a heartbeat if I was looking to get rid of my S5.

Great reviews on the Z3c! More reason for me to get it once my contract is done. Sony are such underrated phones. My XperiaU served its purpose for 3 years without a problem. The build quality on the SONY's are the best.

They're just a tad weak when dropped

Yep especially with the z3c being a full glass design, dropping is definitely not suggested :p

Still love it. Nothing beats it for size vs performance.

With all the praise im giving the phone i will mention the negatives that i have encountered:

Back battery cover - mine cracked due to heat (and possibly me bumping it on the side of a table) whilst in my pocket. Was an extremely hot and humid day, phone was in my pocket. Got home and noticed the back cover cracked, so not entirely sure what it was from, probably a combination of both.

Charger/MicroSD flap - My seal has started to come loose, sometimes it doesn't close flush and it pops open.

I've orderd replacement parts for both and will be conducting repairs when i get them :D Also ordered a tempered glass protector... all for the wonderful price of R230 (AliExpress). Will let you know on quality once i receive it. Difficult to source parts in MUR :(

Wrt to the charger flap, there's a quick fix. I had it happen to me too - basically you just have to gently bend the connector in the opposite direction. If you Google the problem, you should be able to find a step by step, that's what I did...

Actually I was messing around, took the flap off and put it back on.. Seems the pressure from putting it back in made the seal sit flush, been fine since I did it.

After 6 very happy months I decided to swap my Z3c for another LG G3 and gave it to my wife.

So now we are both using a G3. Until the G4 arrive of course.

The Z3c still is a excellent little device but the camera is not as good in real life as it is on paper.

No mobile phones camera can compare with the one in the G3. (would love to see the S6 though)

This is why I got the magnetic charger connection
