My power consumption has gone through the roof ever since I ran the update.
Anyone else have that issue?

Has anyone had any issues with the phone just dying?

First time it happened a couple of months ago, it was completely dead and I left it for a week or so then read somewhere about the reboot button and suddenly it worked and I even upgraded to Lollipop.

Worked splendidly for a couple of months and now it is dead again, tried to do the same as last time, but this time nothing, nada.

Put my phone in a cup of water yesterday through severe boredom.. Only about an inch or two up from the bottom. The phone turned off immediately and the screen wouldn't work. So I put it in rice overnight, and the screen now works but near the middle of it, it's a bit weird and frustrating to use.

This thing is meant to be waterproof :( and I've put it in water before!

Really don't feel like taking it to vodacom for repairs, they'll take forever, and I don't have a spare phone. Damn it :(

They'll blame it on water damage and say flaps were not closed or it was under water for too long!

I having a constant problem downloading apps from the play store. I have to remove my google account and then re-add it to fix the issue.

This is becoming annoying.

Is there any other simple workaround.

Also what is the latest vodacom firmware version

Not sure what the latest version is, but I couldn't do last update on vodacom. It asked me to hold the volume down key while plugging in the USB cable in order to prepare the phone and proceed with the update process. That didn't work though.

You hold it down, and then you let go - well, that's how I got mine to work

guys,

On a VC contract, about halfway through the contract. Just got back from Thailand, and normally i can use my phone in water(used it many times in the past), however this time i wasnt so lucky.

Phone has shown no signs of life in the last week, what the best way for Vodacom to either fix/replace?
I have insurance but i would prefer not to claim unless i really have to.

the phones flaps were properly closed and i use a case that blocks off both off the flaps anyway, as i usually charge with my magnetic dock.

Any success stories or ideas will be much appreciated.

Cheers.

I sent mine to Vodacom. Didn't tell them that it was water damage, just what was wrong with the phone. They fixed it under warranty in like a week

After exactly one year, I had to return my Z3c to MTN.

The earpiece speaker stopped working. When I took it in and the lady was checking the condition for any other damage, she showed me how the top RHS corner screen was lifting! something I didn't even notice before!

Will wait to see what they say.

Well after almost 5 months of my touch screen dying a slow death i eventually got it repaired yesterday (R2000 in sa monies).

I must say, it is fken awesome! It feels like a brand new phone again! :D They didn't have stock of orange so i got the black back and it actually looks flippen cool with the orange trims :D Quite happy!

1 1/2 years after purchasing it my battery life still rocks. i got 2days 1hr (5 hrs 25min on screen time) yesterday and it was on 7%.

I will still say it, this is one of the best phones i've owned. Cannot beat the size and power!
