FFS, the Nordic version is useless.

Phone is not even detecting the SIM card, android.phone process keeps crashing.

Now having to download build Customised ZA 23.4.A.0.546 via XperiFirm to re-flash so that I can at least have a working phone.

It's going to be a long night... *sigh*

day 2, battery drain is meh, used to be better before, and this is with no usage, battery life is just dropping. will give stats later.

Although, i know its generally better to do a reset after a major OS upgrade. had a similar problem from kitkat to lollipop.
Will wait a few days then possibly try.

Ok, so I went back to the D5803_23.5.A.0.570_R2D_Latin America Generic_1290-6916 firmware because I wasn't keen to stay up all night and needed a working phone.

Overnight I downloaded the following firmwares:

D5803_23.5.A.0.575_R3D_Vodacom_ZA
D5803_23.4.A.1.232_R6C_MTN_ZA
D5803_23.4.A.0.546_R4C_CustomisedZA

I will be trying these in the order listed and report back. Hopefully the Vodacom one is stable and works well.

Naks taking one for the team
:D
Thanks man

Haha, jah.

Just finished flashing the Vodacom build, phone comes on and shows a Vodacom loading screen and nothing else is happening...

wait we have a successful boot, and now busy restoring latest backup.

I think we have a winner here: this is the most stable my phone has been on any of the Marshmallow firmwares.

There's a stupid Vodacom boot screen and some Vodacom apps, but I can live with that until MTN's own firmware becomes available.

:)

hmm, maybe I spoke too soon: quite a few crashes after a number of app updates, will wait until all apps have updated

Ok, all apps have updated and phone is running smoothly.

Annoying lack of features: no Facebook widget, and the Email widget keeps saying there's no space even when adding it to a blank screen.

Other than that, it's smooth sailing.

Hmm, despite your report, I'm not so sure that Marshmallow offers enough to justify the potential bugs.

Bluetooth connectivity issues would be dealbreaker for me

Yep, gonna wait until 6.1 myself. But kudos to those offering themselves up as guinea pigs, we wouldn't get any fixes if not for them... :D

I just tested the BT in my car, works fine: connected first time and made a call without any issues.

Nothing available for me through Vodacom, either OTA or through the PC software.

I have an Z3C from VC which I have not been using for a few months so decided switch it on today - (was still on 5.0.1 or 5.1.1 afaik) After updating OTA updates now running 6.0.1 without any issues that I can see. I noticed it also did a NFC firmware update.

Facebook widget available and working. Still early days but battery life seems as I remember and operation very quick. Build number 23.5.A.0.575

Not so stable after all: way too many Google Services crashes.

Now flashing Customized_ZA 23.4.A.0.546_R4C
