Anything faster doesn't make sense to me. I'd rather have sunshine, space, braais and a nice big garden thanks. Enjoy winter!

I do envy you the sunshine and braais! Our shortest day next month, the sun rises at 8:42 and sets at 3:38, but there's often no sunshine at all. Not my favourite time of year unless it's really snowy.

Wish I had signed up yesterday with Vodacom for the PS4 deal, I see it only ran yesterday, expired already.

Waiting for the Z3c to come to Telkom Mobile, they say they should have it in the latter half of the month, at least they'll probably give a Gb of Data, which is a bit more reasonable...

And you'll get 10GB data every month until Mar 2015, which will be really nice when it's connected via LTE. :)

One question about the phone. I see it only uses shatterproof glass, not gorilla or sapphire.
I'm a bit rough on phones (not on purpose) - would I need to put a screen protector on it?

It's got a glass back, so I would suggest a transparent gel case.

Might be slippery when your hand is a bit sweaty.

Here's a link : http://za.mobilefun.com/49538-roxfit-gel-shell-plus-sony-xperia-z3-compact-case-nero-black.htm

Careful, there are a lot of very nice accessories. :)

Another screen shot, and one showing the device on Ultra Stamina mode which just allows for the basic functions on the screen - one page only, so no swiping about. Still 18 days solid battery is pretty good.

Please explain. How would you get 18 days? By leaving it on Ultra Stamina Mode and put it in a drawer?

Lol, that comment is barely worth replying to - do you stop and think before you post? It's blatantly obvious the 18 days is under conditions of no, or very little, use.

9 days would be good for me for a skiing trip to the Highlands, switching modes, using the GPS, Camera and internet occasionally.

I looked at your screenshot and it says 18days in standby mode. Off course that made me think. That's why I made the post.

I am really interested in getting the Z3 Compact. Just waiting for it to arrive at MTN. But really, it's screenshots like that that's not worth posting. We all know that 18days is not possible.

Why not? It is possible, the screenshot just proved it. :D

If I am going camping for two weeks and need to have my phone on if there is a SERIOUS emergency at work, how are you going to do it with any other phone?

I think it's exceptional and a fantastic feature.

*My S5 has a similar feature, I will have to check it out.

You have a Z3c. What is the longest you got with average use?

You've got it completely wrong.

The Ultra saving mode is for when you're not close to a charging port and want the maximum battery life out of the phone.

It's not normal use.
