You've got it completely wrong.

The Ultra saving mode is for when you're not close to a charging port and want the maximum battery life out of the phone.

It's not normal use.

So does this mean that this Ultra Saving Mode only leaves your phones Cellular network on for calls and sms? Data etc... al switched off?

Correct.

It's for emergencies, or if people desperately need to get hold of you, but your battery is already low. Then you would put it in Ultra Saving Mode to get maximum talk time out of the remaining charge in the battery.

Ok, I understand now. So for everyday use battery usage will be more or less one or two days max?

Why not? It is possible, the screenshot just proved it. :D

If I am going camping for two weeks and need to have my phone on if there is a SERIOUS emergency at work, how are you going to do it with any other phone?

I think it's exceptional and a fantastic feature.

*My S5 has a similar feature, I will have to check it out.

It doesn't work like that. My tablet also claims between 10 and 19 days of battery life, it gets to about 3 or 4 if you do literally nothing with it.

Although leaving it on all day with STAMINA mode on it only drops about 3% if you don't use anything.

You've got it completely wrong.

I agree it's a fantastic fature. If it really works like that.

It doesn't.

This is true, but it won't be anything like 18 days or whatever. Like you said it's more or less like what the Samsung phones offer.

Yup. Same as the Z3, Z2, etc.

STAMINA mode does help a lot, but it's different from the ultra saving mode. Also only activates when the screen is off, and certain apps override even that. Such as Plex.

If you're with MTN, give 083 123 3667 a call. They got stock in this afternoon and deliveries will happen tomorrow :)

Damn, I have an old MTN contract that is due for renewal, but I actually wanted to close it. :crying:

Gonna wait for Telkom Mobile pricing.

2 days moderate to heavy use, more than 3 light use. That's with no battery saving modes employed.

Sounds good. I have a 15,600mAh Power Bank that I carry with me when I think I'll need it. So the Z3c with the Power Bank will give me 10+ days with moderate to heavy use. That's without any Power Saving mode.

I get by with just the device and it's internal battery - I dislike those bulky Chinese external batteries.

Yes, I know that - they're still bulky, get hot, and are only good for about half of the stated mha.

I agree. I don't trust those Chinese Power Banks. My wife bought mine at Due South for R1500. It charge my Note 3 about 3 to 4 times with a single charge.
