Wimpy?? Has anyone actually eaten there recently? The food is often pricier then Spurs and it's probably less on par.

Occasionally I'll have a burger from there.. and yeah they are pricey but sometimes its purely because I want to have a wimpy burger.

Yeah I was shocked at the prices and what you get when we stopped at one a couple of weeks ago.

Spur breakfast. Now that's good value for money.

Good enough reason, sometimes I do have fond memories of going to a Wimpy with my dad and just having a cheese burger, but wow the prices now.

Hell yeah. Their R79 breakfast is almost too much for one person to finish.

Yup, the price of the average breakfast, I complained once to a Wimpy about it and they just mumbled and ahed about the price.

Its precisely for those memories that I do it...

And honestly, the burgers are no better or worse than Steers/Spur/etc etc...

Nope they aren't, they just aren't the same value they used to be. Especially when I used to go with my dad you used to get those big oval plates with a biiig portion of chips on the side, the burger itself also seemed a bit bigger. But I was younger and saw it through those eyes. Perhaps I should take my son there, he does actually nag to to Wimpy when we walk passed one.

Think of all the memories you are denying him!

It's your perception.

Bun,patty and chip size/weight have stayed the same for ages (at least 15 years).

Our local wimpy (douglasdale) is great for breakfast every second Saturday. Food is presentable but what really makes it great is how fast they are - 4 minutes from when they take your order to when you are munching. Probably that specific branch's management but gosh darn if it doesnt speed up the rest of the day nicely :)
