South Africa’s budget this week could flip the script, say economists

South Africa's major economic event this week is the Medium Term Budget Policy Statement (MTBPS) on Thursday, which will provide an update of the projected fiscal policy direction over the next three fiscal years, say economists at the Bureau for Economic Research (BER).

Hard to grow an economy without excess power capacity. Almost all economic growth requires additional power generation. Small light at the end of the tunnel is all the companies going off grid. At least gives the option for companies to grow without Eskom holding them back.
