South Africa’s international Internet speeds fully restored

Openserve has stated that the break in the SAT3/WASC cable near Congo has been repaired.

The cable was repaired by the team aboard the repair ship Leon Thevenin, and follows earlier repairs on the WACS cable.

Ping from CT is a lot better! Going eastwards around Africa takes 50ms longer.

The significant amount of cloud computing accessed by South Africans is not yet localized in South Africa. We are about 3 years behind the Aussies as an example.

Last night my ping to EU game server was still higher than normal 220ms while in past 160-180ms i will test again tonight.Im on Openserve + Vox fibre in Western Cape
