I don't give a flying fuk about religion or any blasphemy aspect thereof.

I'm very concerned about how those people were treated in general.

Those cops sounded like 12 year old children playing cops-and-robbers on the playground...
I wouldn't be surprised if many of our cops little other training than what they saw on the telly.

Frank, I have some nice Ramdaan treats for you. Samosas, pies, Brijani etc. Stiek out, just don't have beers, unless you like Ginger Beer.

Where's mine? If you gonna share you have to share with everybody...

I could kill for a samoosa right now:crying:

First time I watch the video... most fkn unprofessional **** show of cops, damn.
Swearing, all shouting - the guys are peaceful and are not resisting in any way, why carry on like complete fkn barbarians.

Those worshipers should get the same treatment as everyone else breaking the law right now, ie. Fine or arrest.
They also can't complain if the police walked into the prayer room with guns and shoes - they're police, they don't need to obey your religious rules.

But damn... embarrassing to see these cops act like school prefects who just caught Johnny finger banging his cousin, again.

One of the police is heard saying: "Are you bigger than the president? Is Muhammad bigger than the president?"

In the view of Muslims, yes, the Prophet is. :D

Cry me a river. Obey the laws.

Quite right.

As the wronged party, it is up to the Prophet/Jesus/God/Baphomet/Thor/Aggrajag/Etc. to lay the charge, in person, at their earliest convenience.

Everyone else gets to STFU.

Unless of course such persons can't intervene on their own behalf because they are imaginary and every offense claimed is, likewise, imaginary.

In which case the offended parties can STFU.

As a rule of thumb, if your personal delusional belief in magical sky-faeries is the cause of your being offended, you now know what you need to do.

That being said, these cops are asshats. Outside of the SANDF, you'd be hard pressed to meet a greater collection of petty criminals.

These people are probably owed an apology of sorts for being verbally abused to an extent by over-zealous cops - an apology for being blasphemous - that makes no sense... if someone doesn't care about your god, then an apology for blasphemy is a waste of time.

Yup agree, apologies for a lack of respect, Cops are supposed to be public servants, everyone, even criminals deserve to be treated with respect and professionalism Blasphemy is about a particular set of beliefs and while regrettable in terms of the above it's not a crime in this country (nor should it be).

Blasphemy should not be used in an apology - it is not a thing. An apology for being dicks or insensitive, sure, but blasphemy - we are slightly above levels of society that still think that is a thing.
