Haven't seen a thread for this yet but the tour kicks off with the Boks up against Wales (7:30pm SA Time)

Matchday 23:
Starting XV: Damian Willemse, Jesse Kriel, Lukhanyo Am, Damian de Allende, Makazole Mapimpi, Handre Pollard, Herschel Jantjies, Duane Vermeulen, Kwagga Smith, Siya Kolisi, Lood de Jager, Eben Etzebeth, Trevor Nyakane, Bongi Mbonambi, Ox Nche.

Replacements: Malcolm Marx, Steven Kitshoff, Vincent Koch, Franco Mostert, Jasper Wiese, Cobus Reinach, Elton Jantjies, Frans Steyn.

Jesse Kriel starting on the wing. Real pity that Fassi's travel papers didn't come through in time. Not sure who was responsible to get that sorted but it's unfortunate he won't be there. Not sure though if he's unavailable for just the test against Wales or all three matches.

It's Sbu's passport that's the issue. Should be just the one match. Fassi was left out for Willemse/Kriel. I would've left Jessie out and played Fassi on the wing. Or even Willemse out and Fassi at fullback. Not a Willemse fan :)

Oh you are right, I didn't read the article on rugby365 properly. That's an even bigger loss then!

Not a Willemse fan either! One of SA's most over rated players but I'm glad he gets an opportunity to start on Saturday. I'm holding thumbs he shows me what so many pundits have already seen and love...

This Sbu passport issue is absolutely ridiculous!! I don't know where to start but probably best just to bite my tongue.

Not having Malherbe, PSDT and Cheslin on tour this us is a MASSIVE blow!! The backup, particularly at 14 and 7, just cannot compare!

To me Willemse was supposed to be Pollard's understudy. Unfortunately he is (became) a totally unreliable kicker, even Province moved him to fullback :) and a fit Galant is a better fullback by miles. I would love to see a Mapimpi, Kolbe, Fassi as back 3 in a future team .... that would be fun :D

I am happy that Japan got hammered by Ireland. It is about time Jamie Joseph gets the wake-up call; still don't know why he wants to elect Japan's best players to participate in the camps. It is hardly one team any more. Foreign policies don’t work. Anyhow.

Happy that Portugal has beaten Spain, close call.

I really hope that the Springboks will win Wales today. Them being trumped a week ago by the All Blacks, although it wasn’t Wales team at strength it wasn’t a good loss, so they will be redeeming themselves.

I think Wales going to give us a run for our money.

I see it's pouring at the Principality Stadium so likely going to be a kicking game.

It's a horror show. Discipline is shocking. Box kicks a joke.

Damn, the Bokke are playing real kahrk. Look like a schoolboy team.

I don't think that guy's punishment is going to be limited to a ban. The union is going to sue him.

We are lucky to get the win here. We WILL take it none the less.

Forwards was immense!

Very bad box kicks from the breakdowns and we couldn't field any kicks.

Happy with the win.

Why does the boks always make our blood pressure go sky high. Why can't we just dominate like NZL?
