Easy… require proof of vaccination to enter liquor stores or receive SASSA grants….
n "vyf-man kan", "food parcel'? BLackmail and corruption?
On second thought, no one in GP will know what a "vyf-man kan" is.

Here is the problem already showing!

Rt is increasing, and the uncertainty of the value is widening.
SA figures on the left, GP on the right. Larger uncertainty, a higher absolute value but direction uncertain ---- same problem everytime, poor data input not reflecting what is going on on the ground. (GP always the worst data)
Besides, we have waited two weeks ......

Let us see how long it takes to start the blame game.

Looking at that the Rt was worse on the second wave then on the third, so Delta wasn't as bad, it just took longer to disappear by the looks of it.

Since vaccines do not stop the spread of the virus how will it stop a fourth wave?
Why do people keep saying this? Everything I've read so far says it reduces transmission significantly. Something in the region of 50-60% for the Pfizer vaccine, lower for others (I think Moderna was something like 30-40% reduction).

It is perfectly logical. Less severe symptoms, shorter time carrying the infection... obviously we're going to be less likely to infect other people under those conditions.

Come on, we all knew they'd miss. Anything the ANC says is never believable anyway. Where is the surprise factor in that statement when it was clear as day from the very beginning.

Good luck convincing people who live in "super-spreader" circumstances every day, some who have been working the grocery and grocery supply chains from day 1, to get vaccinated "for their health".

Many of those same people have been waking up at 4am to queue for healthcare for the past 27 years.
