South Africa is facing a water crisis

Many cities and towns in the country do not have enough water to satisfy demand and taps are expected to run dry unless drastic action is taken.

This is according to Rapport, citing a new research report about water security which was tabled in parliament by the Minister of Human Settlements, Water & Sanitation, Lindiwe Sisulu.

Does local authorities do "Due-Diligence" regarding their resources and capabilituies before allowing new entrants to build or existing owners to expand properties bussineses etc-??
The last 25 years I heard about "Due-Diligenge" a million times....??

Local authorities has a responsibility regarding taxpayers that funded them and pay their salaries with hard earned money.....This is true for the future also.

Lets see if this fancy word created called "Due-Diligence" has any real value at all..!!
Should I add this word to my list of fancy currupt impressions created, like "Service Delivery".

Yeah right... let's blame nature for the ANC's inabilities. Strange it was not Jan's fault instead.

The way the ANC is f*cking up the country is unbelievable.
They don't know their a$$ from their elbow.
The only things they excel at are lying and stealing.
They are running the country into the ground.
Viva the ANC.
Viva Africanism.
Viva.

They don't even excel at that, the only reason they even get to lie (poorly) and steal (in broad daylight) is that the majority of the electorate is a bunch of moronic dumb fahks that condone and allow it.

Literally the only thing that ANC excels at is fahking things up, military grade armor wouldn't even stand a chance against the corrosive effects of ANC governance.

I wonder if the ANC realizes what will happen when the taps run dry and there is no more water.

Difficult when it hasn't rained for a year and there's no underground water for a borehole.
This. Only so much a goverment can do if there is no water available. Agricultural efficiency plays a big factor. For example, there are so many kettle farms that pretty much sit in the middle of a dry spot.

Many countries face water stress, not just SA. And it's just getting worse. Water will be a commodity in a few decades.

Easy, just borrow billions and buy at pick n pay or woolies.

Unfortunately for the ANC, they are struggling to borrow money to keep the country afloat. Fitch and S&P's downgrades to junk in 2017 closed most avenues for borrowing from the West. In April 2019, China also suspended borrowing to South Africa when they stopped a R3bn loan to the Government. The Chinese Ambassador to SA confirmed that SA will now struggle to get any loans from China and its private sector.

So, it may be a problem for them.
