This. Only so much a goverment can do if there is no water available. Agricultural efficiency plays a big factor. For example, there are so many kettle farms that pretty much sit in the middle of a dry spot.

Many countries face water stress, not just SA. And it's just getting worse. Water will be a commodity in a few decades.

Nothing has changed and that is just hogwash. We don't have a water shortage but rather unusable water. They've been warned about this for decades but did nothing. Even the monsoon won't be enough with how they manage it.

That's crazy how can a kettle be expected to function without water. My last kettle was probably from one of these farms. It died within 6 months of me purchasing it.

The next I'll be sure to make sure a kettle is free range and from an area that has a decent supply of water.
