No delusion here on my side friend.

Why don't you try living in the 1st world for almost 20 years and see what happens to your 3rd world way of thinking and living.

interesting enough you mention 3rd world country, i took a trip to Phuket/Bangkok in Feb 2006 (3rd world countries) and seriously i dont even think SA deserves to fall into the 3rd world category. They have a transport system that works, you can walk around late at night without having to even worry about crime, the tourists are extremely and well looked after.
The tsunami damage in Phuket was barely visible, imagine a tsunami hitting Cape Town , 5 yrs later we would still be trying to sort out the damage , after fraudulent tender process's and corrupt government officials have taken there "cut" of the money to be apportioned.
So all in all, there is nothing wrong with living in a 3rd world country, its just which one you choose.

Correctly stated. Let's just say Third World Africa.

I remember how the old government would drone on about how SA was a first world country in the third world. Now, apart from some technology eg broadband (only 300,000 subscribers out of 45 million), SA is really decaying rapidly.

Let's just say that it tried to make it but it has failed and will revert back to "Darkest Africa" in a few more years.

Again, South Africa will remain but, for better or wose, it will be a decayed country that sides with countries like Iran and China. The way of Africa.
