South Africa ranks best in the world for people who want to own a house

That's not how they want it. Didn't the bank say you will still be liable for your loan even though your house gets "hijacked" by the government.
I mean, once it starts, you’ll be able to settle your R3 million home loan by selling a couple of chappies.

What is fundamentally off with the original analysis, is that they equate houses based on area, and nothing else. I assure you that given two houses of the same area, in SA vs USA or Denmark (rated as 2nd and 4th most affordable), the average of the latter two will be very different from the average house in SA.

My UK cousin sold her semi-detached house in Croydon (London) for £550 000.00. No off street parking, 330 sqm stand. Station about 5 mins walk
Dont leave the forum, I always enjoy your posts regarding your various experiences.

13 bar and you can't own a car. Nice, it even rhymes.

Yes SA is number 1 for owning property, in what other countries can a buyer get an expensive house for the bargain price of R0.

You don’t earn ZAR when you live and work in AUS. Many people in AUS can afford that house.

Very, very few people in SA can afford the house you show here in Pretoria.

Whatever helps you cope
