SABC Bill headache

The South African government has stripped ministers of the power to withdraw bills without first getting approval from Deputy President Paul Mashatile and President Cyril Ramaphosa, Sunday Times reports.

Mashatile wrote to National Assembly speaker Thoko Didiza last week, informing her that the decision was made during a cabinet meeting on 22 November 2024.

What is the point of having cabinet ministers if every decision they make has to be approved by the presidency? Then we may as well save the country a crap load of money and simply get rid of these useless fools and all their deputies and hangers-on who serve no useful purpose.

They have never served any useful purpose except to assist in looting and competing for title of "The Most Incompetent Nicompoop To Ever Walk This Planet."

If this happens the GNU is over 👆 The real problem is not with Gwarube but with the DA & FF+

But it ok if another the ANC minister is corrupt 👇👇👇 That does not count for a reason to be fired.

The cynic in me thinks that anytime Cyril shifts a cabinet minister sideways that is so obviously inept and corrupt, instead of just outright firing them, it's because they have some kind of dirt on him.

Why even bother to have ministers if they don't have decision-making powers within their own portfolios. This is stupid.

Very clearly the ANC trying to strip power from the ministers from other parties.

As always it's a reactive thing when they realize the system doesn't work for them...

And also this reactive knee jerk thing is going to blow up in their face sooner rather than later.

Well thing is even if it happens the ANC still can't push through withdrawn bills without the GNU. They still haven't quite gotten the message how a GNU works and that they are no longer in power and that ministers are accountable to the GNU and not them.

Just withdraw the thing and see if anybody votes for it or if the SABC keeps limping along with the ANC under the illusion there's an actual plan on the table.

Conclusively proving that the ANC remain the criminals they always were, very seldom does a so called freedom fighter (read as terrorist) ever have the mental stamina to run a business let alone a country, this hold true with the ANC, and like it or not, the DA which is just the rebranded DP is so left wing they will have the 96 ways of saying gay made law in not time.
