Governance at South Africa’s tax-collection agency was “dismantled” under former Commissioner Tom Moyane, a inquiry into management at the institution found.

I know of people who were forced out of the specialist units that went after the big ones. Apparently deliberate to save certain skins, as we can now see.
I wonder if those I know of would go back if approached? If it were me I would want some very clear indication of a root and branch change in government policy. And a pension fund not run by GEMS. And a damned good watertight contract.
