Like has been said before, affects only those on the Zimbabwe Exemption Permit. Doesnt touch those on asylum, undocumented, on general work permits or critical skills permits.

The main issue imo is that after ten years, majority hasnt been able to change to other visa types. You cannot continue to bulk exempt people, even those who havent been employed.

Dont worry, it will be like gov's implementation of the booze & tobacco ban. Will be ignored like a stop sign.

So are we now going to be forced to employ lazy locals?
Maybe a good time right now to adopt a Zimbo to work for you.
Win-win he can stay & you don't have to put up with lazy locals.

Hmmm maybe it's just a feint aimed at the locals to make them think the ANC is doing something, but all the while have no intention of doing anything at all.

Gave the guys a whooe year to regularise status. Currently visas applied for in December 2020 have not been issued yet. If the DHA and the border force where competent this would not be an issue

I'm guessing it closer to 20 million illegal migrants. Didn't they say a few years ago, there were like 700k African country refugees, reporting to Home affairs, or imigration offices, on a a monthly basis?
I don't know how many they are but 3 million does sound too low, although I would also say 20 million of illegal migrants sound too high.

700k reporting to Home Affairs could also include the same people coming for another visit so I don't think there's much to be made out of that.
