Hope all the guys that slated Graham, Steyn and co after the last test eat their words now. Looking at this result, that was the best tactical move for the series.

Beautiful way for Kallis to be sent off, I don't really know South African cricket without Jacques so this is going to be very interesting spell for us but I am sure a youngster is going to pop up soon and do the same thing. We all wondered where wickets would come from what Donald left, then when Pollock left, and Steyn came along. This country knows how to produce quality cricketers.

Glad to see India get some shockers that DRS could have easily turned around, but the stubborn BCCI can keep punting their agenda.

Some good old fashioned cricket banter is always welcome and Rohit Sharma and Dale Steyn treated the fans to some of it during the second and final Test match between India and South Africa in Durban.

It all started when Rohit hooked him for four, after which Steyn said something to the India batsman. Rohit, of course, hit back with words of his own, continuing to jaw with Steyn from the non-striker's end. One of his comebacks was: "We'll see how you do when you come to India." Well, isn't that what Gambhir told the English players too? And we all know what happened when they did come to India a year ago. Rohit walks out after being dismissed. AP Also, if Rohit were check out Steyn's statistics while sitting in the dressing rooom, he would find out that the South African's average in India is 20.23 and that he has taken 26 wickets in five Tests. This is better than his career average of 22.88. Facepalm moment, no?

Steyn wasn't holding back either. He pointed out to Rohit that "I have got more runs than you in this series." Steyn has 60 runs from three innings while Rohit has 45 runs from four innings. The slip fielders also joined in, "Keep talking brother, keep talking," before Steyn's final parting shot: "You've played a handful of Tests and have done nothing in your career." A few moments later Rohit lost his wicket to Vernon Philander. Guess if you can't bat, you shouldn't chat either.

SA will have a tough time without Kallis. He bailed us out on numerous occasions. The other top order batsmen should really start getting more consistent (Yes Graeme, I'm talking to you)

Completely different set of circumstances. Surely you know enough about cricket to see that?

Brilliant. Thanks for sharing. Really funny to have a sub par batsman taking on one of the best bowlers in the world and choosing to base his argument on performance. Lol.

Dale Steyn and Rohit Sharma spiced up things on Day Five of second Test at Durban. Apparently, Steyn told Rohit that he has more runs than him in this series. And they keep going at it. Rohit tells him that, “We’ll see when you come to India.” Steyn responded to Rohit saying that he was in Durban and not India. Eventually the umpires had to cool the situation down. Rohit was bowled for a first-ball duck by Steyn in the first innings of this Test. India are 104 for five.

Rohit was eventually dismissed by Vernon Philander leg-before for 25.

India were under pressure after they lost two quick wickets early on the fifth day. Virat Kohli was dismissed for 11 on the first ball of the day. He was given out unfortunately after replays showed that the ball had brushed past his shoulder on its way to the wicketkeeper. Dale Steyn further dented India’s position when he bowled Cheteshwar Pujara for 32.

Unbelievable!!! This proves that Rohit's a hometown bully who can't do **** when facing against the best.

This is India's 9th loss on foreign soil. How the hell does they stay as the no.2 test team??? Oh wait! BCCI! That explains a lot.

England in Australia. Australia in England. Etc etc. At least India were competitive here ...mostly.

I was at the ground and it was quite emotional saying farewell to him. He's been our Rock for over a decade. Thank you for everything you have given cricket SA. We were fortunate to see you...

Now with Kallis gone, It makes me wonder what our test line up is going to look like :/

I'm still undecided if we go with the batter or bowler. What I don't want is a bit piece cricketer who doesn't excel in any discipline. I'm leaning on him being replaced by a bowler... Bowlers win you matches and our Top 6 is solid enough to bat. Also, Vern, Robbie P, Steyn and morkel are no mugs with the bat so they could add a small contribution when required...

Well said....this is a very young Indian side and they still made south Africa work for their win.....it will be scary when this team has some more experience and their bowling improves .......damn they will be good

Not to mention the pasting they got in the ODI's and then couldn't bowl us out in just under 140 overs in a 4th innings at the Wanderers!!

:D

They were thoroughly thrashed and fortunate to get away with not conceding the highest 4th innings winning run chase in history.

Decent fielding though - some nice direct hits - if Faf hadn't been run out.....

ah well...
