There is sponsorship to some degree. I'm not sure of whom and what but David Kramer for instance is kept in whatever VW he chooses - they simply cannot afford to have him seen in anything else.

Im not 100% sure on what the law says about it, but Ive seen alot of cars with the same registration, I always though its allowed...

Im 95% sure you can, ive seen alot of company vehicles with the same numberplates. Ill find out from my licensing department.

you can have only number plate, but that plate will be a garage plate and it does cost a bit more than a normal plate

Recently saw BEE king Patrice in a red, SL65 AMG black series...and while I cant stand the former, one cannot but stare at the car. I also understand 3 other south africans bought the car, starting at R4.8 bar

Celebs tend be very image focussed and a car would be the ultimate image accessory. So i would think they would buy a nice car if they had the means. and i really love to see how many of them have the means and just how big do they splash. I have a curious mind ... Ps my spelling might suck no spell check ...
