Whats the chances of smoking ban to be lifted announced??

Whats the chance of an ANC NEC member reflecting on their actions and considering that they may have been wrong and amending course?

Keeping the ashes separated for? They don't do that in normal burials, 90% of the ashes you get from them isn't your family member.

That can't be accurate, surely? My grandmother's ashes weighed around 1.3kg. If 90% aren't her ashes, then where does the rest of it come from?

Surely the corpsesburnedup/day rate depends on the sizeof the crematorium? Surely not all crematoria are built equal are they?

You could build larger ones, but these are industrial furnaces. They are expensive to mount and maintain, so you build for the size you expect.

And with the average burn time of two hours per person, stretching well over three for people with a lot of fat, you're limited by time. In one working day, you could do two people per oven, accounting for time to clean and remove metal slugs, and grind down the ashes. With four ovens, that's eight people.

If you're working overtime and not cleaning properly or grinding, you could double that to around 16 people a day, but this might require shift work.

Surely they have a large industrial vacuum that they switch on after each burn for a second. And empty the correct ashes into your ern whilst they load up the next body.

The process is a apparently a bit more involved than that:

Are all the furnaces running at full speed? Are the bodies piling up? How many of them are there?

Fear mongering not intended.

Here, probably not. But there will be a backlog of frozen dead thanks to places like Home Affairs being staffed minimally, or closed entirely due to infection fears.

Considering that SAffers tend to bury their dead, I don't think crematoriums will be overrun just yet.

This might mean more "stringent" measures for these areas, says Dlamini-Zuma.

So they still don't know/tell

I think they're still trying to convince themselves that its possible.

Its not possible to have different areas on different levels of lockdown, its logistically impossible for them to even think of managing.

I like that they wont allow travel into or out of hotspots, but two sentences later she says you can travel across any border - provincial/district /metro to go to and from schools. ****up of note.

Level Three Regulations - Personal movement. The curfew will be lifted. You can exercise between 6am and 6pm but not in groups. People can move between provinces only clearly listed reasons. People can go to and from school.

At least the time frame for exercising has been expanded to 06h00 to 18h00... why they feel the need to have a time frame just baffles the fsck out of me when there is no curfew.

They need to think they have some form of control... Granted, I'm not going to go exercising before 06h00, but I might choose to go for a stroll in the hood after 18h00... fsck what Mama wants...

Realistically the only area that will go back to Level 4 is the Western Cape. That is almost guaranteed given the current trend in new cases and daily deaths.
