Well The SABC news writers screwed things up again today.

Kept on talking about the Mortality Rate being 2.3%, which implies that SA is going to see 2.3/100 (57 million) deaths. [1.311 million]

Based on the info they were reporting on, no one could work out if the figure given was the CFR or the IFR either.

This is probably still the morality rate the government thinks it is.

Remember we're supposed to be seeing 50 000 deaths by the end of winter, unless this thing starts ramping up, I don't know.

The dumb continues...

The government says a scathing Pretoria high court ruling that declared the Covid-19 lockdown regulations invalid was “not justified” and that co-operative governance and traditional affairs minister Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma was denied “her right to a fair hearing”.
Shame, poor victim, she needs protection from herself. The judgement was made based on her own submissions of rationality... so she denied herself her right to a fair hearing

Use up valuable test kits on people who serve no useful function, rather than medical staff who actually do. Makes sense...
Wait I've just thought of something. The tests we've done, are those only counted once? As in it can take up another 3 to "confirm" a person has recovered, are those counted as well?
