When looking at leave, the guidelines state that temporary incapacity, for the period of the Covid-19 epidemic, may be motivated by the treating doctor on the grounds that workplace accommodation is not possible.

“Should this not be possible the employee should be able to utilise his/her sick leave if appropriate, as advised by the treating doctor. Should sick leave be exhausted, the employee should be able to utilise his/her annual leave.”

The guidelines state that unpaid leave is not recommended and if contemplated, should be the last resort.

Do they have proof that it actually 'came' from the western cape? How did this person contract it taking all of the regulations into consideration? Did they fuk the corpse? Lick the other family members?

Mask, social distance and hand washing should be effective in preventing transmission so how did this person get it?

Can a legal eagle provide any details if the NCCC's regulations can be challenged in court? If the Pres was quoted correctly, could it mean that he had enough of the power grab?

they've been arguing that it's a sub-committee of Cabinet and derives it's powers from Cabinet oversight.

“They present in similar ways. Flu is generally more severe, however, Covid, in a small proportion of patients, becomes very severe and then often leads to death.

“Our problem is going to be that if we simultaneously have our flu season and our Covid pandemic, we’ll have problems teasing them out. So we’ll have patients who actually have flu coming in to our clinics and hospitals to be treated for Covid-19, and in the process they may be exposed to Covid-19 because our hospitals will be so full of Covid-19 patients.”

One patient said nurses told them they should leave the hospital.

“After a meeting the nurses decided to leave the hospital. We thought at least we will have a few to take care of us, but that was not the case,” the patient, who wanted to remain anonymous, said.

If that's true..it won't end well

The very first patient from Atlantis in Cape Town almost died because the nurses refused to assist the patient due to them having the virus. This was even after they were given full PPE.

They later gave her panado and sent her on her way.

A person carrying HIV is 2.75 times more likely to die when infected with the coronavirus than someone with no co-morbidities, according to the presentation.

The ratio for someone with active TB is 2.58 times, while someone who has recovered from TB, which causes lasting lung damage, has a ratio of 1.41.

Still, a Covid-19 patient with uncontrolled diabetes is 13 times more likely to die, the department said. Those with well-controlled diabetes still carry a risk of 4.65.
