“The judge asked us late yesterday to try to find an agreement on timelines going forward with minister Dlamini-Zuma with regards to the reopening of the industry,” said Macpherson.

“We agreed to do so in good faith and we believed that we could get an order from the court that would make it very clear and explicit what the timelines going forward would be. The minister just until a few moments ago had instructed her counsel that they would not agree to anything like that and so the judge has now postponed the matter to June 22, to be heard before a full bench.

“What also complicated matters is that the minister refused to file any opposing papers in our application and missed the original deadline and she has now been granted an extension to June 18 to file opposing papers.”

What happens if normal people disregard the court?

There was a point in this bats life when she thought it would be a good idea to marry and have kids with JZ, why do we trust her judgement with anything?

On the contrary - she is a clever old wily that one. Marrying JZ and having kids with him is a good example of that.

Some useful charts, but cumulative totals during the exponential phase always present a very distorted view. Weekly totals would be much more informative, though this summary is meant to provide an overview, not a running perspective.

The data used is also inaccurate if compared to the NICD data.

Not that we are able to establish who has the correct data for SA at the moment.

most normal people have already disregarded the court. in the short term, it creates an uptick in authoritarian behaviour by the government. in the long term, they lose.
