well that makes sense, because if you cant provide basic oxygen the next stop is a grave anywayBut the grave digging is going on schedule

South Africa has kept its Covid-19 death toll low. Here's how - CNN Video
Coronavirus cases in South Africa are at a peak, with cases climbing in Cape Town and Johannesburg. But there is a silver lining in the surge as doctors have managed to keep mortality rates lower than predicted. CNN's David McKenzie reports from an emergency operations headquarters.edition.cnn.com
well done CPT!
Let's see how Gauteng handles the next few weeks, been hearing things are falling apart, even in some private hospitals
I think it also demonstrates how well CPT has handled the crisisNice video - also exposes the rubbish initial modelling the government relied on with regards to deaths.
Based on a whole number? Surely it should be based on a number of cases/population? That would make EC or WC by far more cases/population than GP.Gauteng the new epicentre if not mistaken. Western Cape still in for a rough ride though.
Agreed.Based on a whole number? Surely it should be based on a number of cases/population? That would make EC or WC by far more cases/population than GP.
Yup people still focusing on totals, though active cases currently would be a good guage, you're correct in taking into account the per population figure.Based on a whole number? Bullspit. The only number that matters is the hospitalised/hospital beds. Testing is meaningless. Treat symptomatically.L
Gauteng will eventually get to similar cases per population as the WC. But as @sand_man pointed out, it's actually the active cases that is probably more important than total cases and GP is well ahead there.
It was the same as the rest of SA's. Which was accomplished with varying completeness depending on the province. So in hindsight, trying to establish what GPs strategy was.

(as to your quoted story, I don't read garbage that says things like " the wuhan of whatever" and "bush medicine". Daily Maverick scraping the bottom of the journalistic barrel as well I see.)

Point by point if you will.So in hindsight, trying to establish what GPs strategy was.
1. Believe in everything the WHO said and says.
2. Rush off and build a field hospital without equipping it for oxygen distribution.
3. Dig lots of graves.
4. Take thousands of swabs for testing but delay processing to determine if there are lots of infections.
Our curve (rate of infections) is on the rise, the WC's is stable. It's basic maths. When WC was increasing massively, the same was seen. Also, we have many more Karens who will demand a bed in a hospital even when their doctor says they can treat at home.Ok, but Gauteng has the most people in hospital beds, in ICU and on ventilation.

I've been on a covid break. Everything fuels my indignation at the crackdown and the lies at the moment.Calm down, its a quoted term from a note written by a doctor.
