How do you become a member of the "collective"?
Terrible how this communistic driven crap is infiltrating everything.

The ANC says here that it is of the view that the “constitutionally-independent SARB should be fully state-owned”.
The document also envisages an increase in competition in the banking sector and the establishment of a State Bank which “must be able to access different forms of capital, in addition to taking deposits”.
If this was ever allowed to happen, it would be a Grand Finale of the "How to steal a country" drama.

Edit: it is not a new idea, but they really seem to be driving this post-covid, anc-lead recovery plan as per CR.

Heck where are all the pictures of baby coffins
Well ... I now know of two direct acquaintances who each lost a family member recently, neither believes it was covid due to those people heading to hospital with terminal, non-covid, issues.

Both cases were marked as covid deaths, which is another issue, but on the topic of coffins ... both families were:
- not allowed to see the body
- not allowed to arrange a burial for the body
- told the body will be cremated

if this is the official approach there won't be coffins, only urns or some cheap "fertilizer" sold by the nursery next door to the hospital

We were also 4th on the list of new recoveries though. I suppose that's the upside when you reporting so many active cases.

Our death rate remains stubbornly low. Wonder what's up with that? Definitely not our 1st world healthyy care system. I sincerely hope this particular stat is accurate.
Yeah I've been confused about the high deaths in developed nations as well.

And what is on her death certificate?

Since when do they put on the death certificate the disease that caused the death?

Photo or I don't believe it.

Don't know the circumstances surrounding the death, but I do know that infection is the 2nd most common cause of death among patients with Lupus. How can you be sure COVID had nothing to do with her death?

A great example of the difference between how private sector prepares VS the gov hospitals.

A great example of how provinces have prepared

Call me conspiracy theorist but I think SA wants to hit the top 5 in the world so they can beg for money from the international community.

Our current deaths vs infected rate is 1.5%. That puts our death vs infected rate at 136th in the world.
To put that in perspective France is 17.5%, Belgium is 15.6 UK is 15.5%, Italy if 14.5%

South Africa is treating this epidemic like the HIV/Aids epidemic. Trying to identify as many people as possible. Italy on the other hand vastly underreported their infections and focused on treating those on deaths door in hospital with respirators. I think Europe was ten times more infected than us. Now they have reached herd immunity.

Other countries with a similar death rate than us is Russia but their official policy is if you have Covid and another condition then your death is not Covid related.
Also New Zealand. However their island is virus free so their stats just improve by the day.

If 25% of people now tested in SA are positive to Covid-19 because of targeted testing. If you ask me using targeted testing of people who are asymptomatic is stupid. A worthless stat as all people who interact with other people will get it eventually. Let those who interact with many people get it so as a nation we will get herd immunity. That way we save the old who can hide away.
The goal is for any nation to get herd immunity. Not avoid it. Look at NY. European countries. Once you get her immunity then you are in the clear.

Tracking recovery is stupid as most people like kids are asymptomatic. Heck where are all the pictures of baby coffins. Aren't babies the most vulnerable?

Deaths in Europe were due to much higher numbers of elderly people.

Europe is nowhere close to herd immunity, seroprevalence studies came back showing only 5-15% of people have had the virus.

Testing asymptomatic/pre-symptomatic people is extremely important to slow/stop the spread of the virus. SA never did it properly (shortage of tests, results taking too long to come back, not doing proper tracing) and have now just given up on this method of prevention entirely.

It's been known from the very beginning that the older you are, the more chance of dying you have. Kids have always been the least at risk.

I do agree that SA has absolutely ZERO chance of stopping or even slowing the virus down at this stage. Unfortunately the government has been so slack at preparing hospitals that many people will die unnecessarily.
