I saw in the other thread of smokes and alcohol ban, that they might bring back the curfew, restrict movement between provinces, and limit the sale of alcohol.
I obeyed the law before the lockdown, not because of government, but in spite of it. If I break the law, it will be for the same reason. I was raised to leave a person and place in a better state than I found it, but also to stand against things that are unjust and do not follow through with its logical conclusion.
I have not seen my parents since January, as I am in Cape Town and they are in Limpopo. I don't want to risk getting my sister or dad sick, both are "high risk". I chose to not do this, even though my dad can sort out a "work permit" for me. Right now, I chose to be cautious. So I wear my mask, I stay away from public areas as far as possible and I follow shop owner regulations when there.
Point is, the lockdowns and restrictions will only work, and did work, because, we chose to play along. If the government starts stepping over everyone for longer, and the more businesses that close down, people will stop playing along. In my town here in the Cape, I haven't seen people without masks, we all still line up apart to enter shops, everyone seems to keep distances ect....
When will enough be enough? How will 60k military and the not so well backed police, control 60mil people once we have reached the gatvol line?
