Windows in the house or in the taxi?
Windows in the house. We will even be good and sit outside.

If not, we will have to make a trip to the park, meet at work, in the restaurant, library, cinema or we could perhaps even visit an auction together.

If all fails, we will have to hire a taxi and spend a full day driving around a game reserve.

Call me conspiracy theorist but I think SA wants to hit the top 5 in the world so they can beg for money from the international community.

Our current deaths vs infected rate is 1.5%. That puts our death vs infected rate at 136th in the world.
To put that in perspective France is 17.5%, Belgium is 15.6 UK is 15.5%, Italy if 14.5%

South Africa is treating this epidemic like the HIV/Aids epidemic. Trying to identify as many people as possible. Italy on the other hand vastly underreported their infections and focused on treating those on deaths door in hospital with respirators. I think Europe was ten times more infected than us. Now they have reached herd immunity.

Other countries with a similar death rate than us is Russia but their official policy is if you have Covid and another condition then your death is not Covid related.
Also New Zealand. However their island is virus free so their stats just improve by the day.

If 25% of people now tested in SA are positive to Covid-19 because of targeted testing. If you ask me using targeted testing of people who are asymptomatic is stupid. A worthless stat as all people who interact with other people will get it eventually. Let those who interact with many people get it so as a nation we will get herd immunity. That way we save the old who can hide away.
The goal is for any nation to get herd immunity. Not avoid it. Look at NY. European countries. Once you get her immunity then you are in the clear.

Tracking recovery is stupid as most people like kids are asymptomatic. Heck where are all the pictures of baby coffins. Aren't babies the most vulnerable?
There is an insane amount of misinformation in this post... rather scary. Ignoring the conspiracy theory stuff because well who knows with our gvt.

Just some retorts on the other stuff you posted:
Tracking recovery is the most important stat, we need to understand how many people are still sick.
Kids are the lest vulnerable, they seem to transmit less and get sick less and die less.
As mentioned before you could get covid more than once, they have not established how to immunise yet.

You have zero expectation of privacy in public.

Never made such a claim. I was just pointing out that Google understands they can't just capture and publish people's image without their consent. It's not a legal issue, but more on the ethics side.

They can in many countries, some eu countries got their knickers in a knot.

He doesn't have to do schit and there are no ethics involved. Go report the sabc, etv, cnn, bbc etc etc for displaying people in publics faces on national & international tv.

That is why some are on my ignore list.
Far too stressful to try and debunk so much misinformation and bad analisys all the time.

It is already hard enough trying to make sense of the "official" data.
I wish the CSIR would provide public access to their data on a platform other than via the occasional Twitter posts.

Government has the power to decide when bottle stores are opened, it's always been that case as far back as I can remember.

What probably is unconstitutional is preventing people to meet family in their own private homes. From how CR sounded it sounded more like a recommendation than a order. Though it won't stop overzealous cops from fining and arresting people.

Also it seems that government cannot force people to wear masks, it seems they cannot fine people for not wearing masks but they can fine businesses if their customers band staff are not wearing masks, presumably as health and safety violations

Common sense and brains is something these anc dumbass criminals do not have, they do not give a shyte about the average SA citizen as long as they can line their pockets with looted money.
The point of the lockdown in the beginning was to prepare the health care system, surprise, surprise they did fvckall just stole the money.

The economy has gone down the drain a long time ago, these idiots just poured down the drain-o now to make sure it stays down.

It was about saving lives in the beginning, now its destruction and looting.

Why can SA only protest against poor service delivery? Why cant we as a nation stand together and protest this government? Is it because majority still believes the ANC has everyone's best interest at heart?

Because 50% of population is dependent on anc handouts and most of them live in the sticks so belive what they are told by councilors, etc.

For the rest, the business community has never stood together for long enough or strongly enough for it to be meaningful. They are just too fractured along the racial and interest lines for them to be able to do so.

That's why the taxi industry is so strong and get what they want.

Ok, Google was crazy to have put in time and effort to blur out people's face. Got it.

That sounds too high. Look here (https://covid19-projections.com/south-africa). He is using mathematical modeling to approximate numbers. His range is 385k to 1.14 million at the moment. By Nov 1, he recons anywhere between 1.2 and 6 million.
Yay! More thumbsuck maths, but we will; call it a mathematical modelling. That all proved so accurate already. Oh, wait, it didn't really, did it?

The anti-body studies around the world predict the actual infections, not some model of them, and those numbers suggest 6 million actual infections in SA (which may be conservative - we are probably around the 10 million mark).
