As far as I know, there is no evidence that quitting smoking causes short term harm to the immune system. "smokers flu" is not an actual infection. In fact, from what I've read there may even be Immune System improvements when quitting smoking, even in the short-term.
The stress and anxiety alone **** up the immune system

Smoking is not going to help you deal with stress that effect your health. It's just a false sense of relief. Specially if it is serious stress affecting your health. Smoking on the other hand in general is very bad for health. However, now is not the time to deal with the smoking problem that will only boost the black market and kill the economy never-mind lives sent into poverty.

Bullshyte. You have to spend a bit more and not smoke the cheap teabags. Smoking actually makes you cooler.

Gift of the Givers should take over a whole lot of functions our govt has failed its populace on - from diplomatic relations in securing the release of our detained citizens where DIRCO and its consular functions have failed so dismally, thru to ensuring food and water gets to those who have zero access.

That stress is more withdrawal symptoms. Will get over it in a couple of days. Just stay home for a week or two, tie yourself to an ergonomic chair. The underlying stress however didn't go anywhere.

Johannesburg - The husband of President Cyril Ramaphosa’s spokesperson Khusela Diko is among the beneficiaries of the government’s multibillion-rand Covid-19 personal protective equipment (PPE) contracts.

The Sunday Independent can reveal that Madzikane II Thandisizwe Diko’s company, Royal Bhaca Projects (RB), was awarded contracts worth R125 million by the Gauteng Department of Health on March 30 - days after the president announced a national lockdown.
