Nearly all of the ANC's lockdown regulations are practically un-enforceable.

That said: In a bizarre turn of events, some members of the public have become self-appointed law enforcers, with this behaviour being encouraged and praised! I've seen people who criticised the snitches who reported joggers, actively become proponents of mandatory mask-wearing.

Joke's on us, folks.

Dlamini Zuma says district model must be implemented urgently

Cogta minister Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma told MPs the now controversial district development model needed to be implemented urgently, and that government had profiled all 52 districts and metros to this end.

Dlamini Zuma has yet to confirm the authenticity of a leaked document, marked top secret, that advocates using the National Coronavirus Command Council, set up to make decisions on the government's response to the pandemic, as a template for a national council that will direct decision-making in provinces.

But the minister said on Wednesday the model will tackle income, racial and gender inequality through better integration of local government planning, with ministerial involvement.

"This is a fundamental feature of the District Development Model, which we have had to roll-out with urgency since it is a central feature in our response to Covid-19. We need not fear the pandemic, because it also offers us an opportunity to reset our outlook.

The estimate in the States is that the actual number of people infected by the virus is X10 the confirmed number. I'd imagine it would be slightly higher here.

Fcking hell, can someone please just switch the anccccccc off and then on again?? Seeing as we stuck with them, might as well install the updates right. I hereby refuse to play any further DLCs after level3. KTxBye

South Africa has 572 new Covid-19 related deaths - the biggest spike in a single day - with most fatalities recorded in the Eastern Cape.

The cumulative number of deaths is now 5 940, Health Minister Zweli Mkhize said in a statement on Wednesday night.

I actually saw a report somewhere that said sharing of single cigarettes increased by 490%. So much for the ban (pardon me - suspension), in order not to share smokes.
