Nice to know EC found so many deaths at the back of a sofa.
The laggards have just not been reporting.

The PANDA guys had some good 'guesses' during the middle months of the epidemic, but are now talking out of their arses IMO...
Ja this is an over reaction on their part. But what it highlights is that there are procedural issues which are distorting the data on the number of deaths attributable to Covid 19.
No one is going to know until this rather minor epidemic is over how bad the excess deaths is or was.

Even in 1st World UK, the official Covid deaths were about half the actual excess deaths in the first couple months.

So our official Covid deaths being undercounted by half or more is not unexpected.

The MRC data is also a week delayed so you have to compare the 17k to the Covid death count from a week ago.

Fcking hell, can someone please just switch the anccccccc off and then on again?? Seeing as we stuck with them, might as well install the updates right. I hereby refuse to play any further DLCs after level3. KTxBye
I'd rather have them just stay off.

What is important is that the deaths have to be logged correctly, which implies that delayed reports are worked back into the previous data all the time.
It just highlights how stupid it is to jump to conclusions based on the daily figures quoted. One has to wait for the dust to settle and then look at the figures again. Hence why and where the logic behind using a moving average.

Tomato, tomayto? The fact remains it's a minor event. Hyped and marketed and sold for political and economic reasons.

Oh yes, and say it to the dead person who helped me at work two days before the lock down began. I'm sure he might disagree.

Ha so someone fell for it? Heh heh. Ja in hindsight this blerry virus is going to be shown to be no worse than previous ones.

Really? Have you been going outside and meeting people without masks then? Maybe taken a taxi ride?

Oh yes.

I've said it numerous times here.

For a teeny tiny minority of the world's population this disease will have personal and devastating consequences. Just like cancer or a stroke or a heart attack.
For the rest of us, it's a nothing.

Brush up on your Leonard Cohen.

If you think those at the top didn't exploit this fauxdemic for economic gain, you might just qualify to be an adviser to the NCCCCCC.

Sorry, I'm not into ridiculous conspiracy theories. Artistic or not.

I take it you don't have family then.

And to educate you, you can't infect someone with cancer, stroke or heart attack.
