Instead of fighting to open public schools, as students that should be their goal, they do the opposite?
It's a union in South Africa. What madness are you spewing?Instead of fighting to open public schools, as students that should be their goal, they do the opposite?
I think they acknowledged in the E. Cape that they had somehow missed a bunch of Covid death reports and added them all in to the same day's stats.Have no idea. The figures we get in our area are very erratic.
See the Mediahack website for more detail.
One H of a peak in EC and GP, which does not seem to be correct and suggests thta deaths have NOT been reported consistently in these two provinces.

Looks like one in need of a good sjambok
True, I was thinking they would do it for the people. It's a union in South Africa. What madness are you spewing?
In this morning's news, triggered by completely meaningless statistics published, and a few hours later corrected, KZN has now come out with concerns that many people are dying at home of Covid 19 and those deaths are thus not being logged by the health department in the daily statistics.I think they acknowledged in the E. Could've told you this, the stats are just meaningless. In this morning's news, triggered by completely meaningless statistics published, and a few hours later corrected, KZN has now come out with concerns that many people are dying at home of Covid 19 and those deaths are thus not being logged by the health department in the daily statistics.
More and more evidence coming out that the statistics logged by the health department are not reflecting what is really going on.
They can only log what is official. If they tested the people that are dead and sent away samples it will be logged? In this morning's news, triggered by completely meaningless statistics published, and a few hours later corrected, KZN has now come out with concerns that many people are dying at home of Covid 19 and those deaths are thus not being logged by the health department in the daily statistics.

It has been said a million times already.Could've told you this, the stats are just meaningless.
Yup it hasIt has been said a million times already.
In another two weeks.Wait till it hits the townships. Then you'll see the death numbers jumping high.
Some townships in Port Elizabeth already starting to run away.Wait till it hits the townships. Then you'll see the death numbers jumping high.
He's being facetious. Some townships in Port Elizabeth already starting to run away.
Is this “social engineering by decree”, asked Johann Rupert last week.
The chair of Remgro was referencing the cognitive dissonance implied in the fact that taxis are packed, yet restaurants are collapsing all around us, and the government is demanding billions for a new airline, yet it has closed down industries, banning alcohol and tobacco sales.
Rupert’s point is that logically, none of this makes sense.
But the contradictions in the lockdown rules speak to a far cruder political calculation.
The ANC was advised on two things by the Ministerial Advisory Committee (MAC) – the group of doctors and scientists advising the government on Covid-19 – insiders tell the FM: first, if you’re serious about limiting infections during the peak, you can’t afford to have taxis at 100% capacity; second, the science says schools should, largely, be kept open.
And yet, President Cyril Ramaphosa’s decisions on both those issues, alarmingly, appear to have gone against the advice of the scientists. How could this be?

Worth reading an independent an objective view of the SA statistics:

Coronavirus in South Africa: Why the low fatality rate may be misleading
As coronavirus infections surge, Andrew Harding notes meaningless statistics and a fear of hospitals.www.bbc.com
Pretty normal Social media is never interested in facts and the truth, only in the hype and BS that supports their idiotic views. Look at how quickly the BLM movement stopped pushing their BS in SA as soon as the protests in the USA started being responsible for more atrocious violence, injury and deaths.A more honest article than the one he wrote in early April praising the great leadership of Cyril. Weird this article is not spreading like wildfire on WhatsApp groups as the April one...![]()
