Businesses are easier to control as they can withdraw licenses and/or send in the police/army to forcibly close them. If millions of "us" hit the streets, then they'd probably give in.What would happen if businesses, collectively, said fck you and opened? Bottle stores and restaurants started selling alcohol, all major retailers started selling smokes.
What could they do if millions of us just said get stuffed?

If there was ever a good time for a tax revolt, now it is.
The biggest problem with tax revolt is that you're not fckn round with the government, but SARS. Remember that they can just freeze or empty your bank account as they please. The only way to do this is to withhold PAYE and VAT, no director is going to stand in a court and defend why they not paying it over, and then the companies are liable for fines and penalties again.
It’s a worthwhile thought in theory but won’t happen.
Our corporates aren’t even taking the government on for banning them to trade.
Unfortunate truth. SARS does not fck around. They may, at any time, just expropriate money from any of your bank accounts, although this has been disputed, seems like they still seem to do this now and again. The biggest problem with tax revolt is that you're not fckn round with the government, but SARS.
