The first step to solving a problem is admitting you have one. But the problem has to be fixed properly, the solution is to close the loopholes around tender processes, there are too many of them and without doing that we are going to admit that we have a problem until the end of time.

Now that independents are allowed I'm quite happy to make my x in support politicians who are also tired of the collective rule of looking the other way.

One heck of a depressive reading for Friday night. Not really the "what is currently happening", but the fact that there is seemingly absolutely no hope in things coming right

The radical faction’s intent is both ideological and practical: they want South Africa to transform immediately, drastically, and permanently. In this, the lockdown’s destruction of the formal economy is not incidental.

It’s entirely intentional.
And kind of confirms my feelings overall

Fears are that the coronavirus is spreading through rural areas even before people have been diagnosed.

Hahahahahahahaha....

Probably the best definition of a "traditional healer."

Under normal circumstances it spreads after you have been diagnosed.

So what's the solution? Because it looks like even the opposition are not interested in pushing for these loopholes to be closed, I can only imagine that they are being careful enough not to shoot themselves in the foot when the chance for them to be in the looting seat comes.

We, the people, need to stand together and say we have now had enough of POLITICIANS playing with our lives as if its a chess game but sadly there is still too much divide along the racial lines. The sad thing is, the divide is caused by said politicians.

I didn't read traditional healer. Maybe I didn't read far enough.
I said traditional healer in jest. They said traditional leaders are concerned its spreading before people even have been diagnosed. So my conclusion is it usually then spreads after people have been diagnosed.

Ah nevermind

Perhaps it's spreading, and people are dying, because all their clinics and hospitals have been torched??

Or this...
They performed a traditional burial. However, Mncwango says after the funeral, the family received information that his son had tested positive for coronavirus.
Or this...

When he died, we fetched his body, washed him and had a ceremony.
The wearing of masks is still taboo in rural Zululand and just as is the simple act of washing hands
Traditional leaders have met families of people thought to be infected urging them to isolate.

The government message towards the taxi seems to be bearing fruit, they should now direct the message to traditional leaders and healers, Contralesa should get to work.

There is one very simple, quick solution, that could be implemented overnight (if the will was there), that would virtually eliminate corruption and close all loopholes.

Government should only be able to procure direct from manufacturers. If you don't make it, you can't supply it. It would also make huge strides towards relevant BEE and everyone would support this (apart from the elites)

I went through the same thought process. Cause-effect analysis led by the ancestors and t
Trump-like thinking.
But then , there are very few in rural South Africa and apparently on this forum too who can see through the covid fog.
