Except it has a serious side effect that makes the economy collapse and leaves 100 000's without jobs. Flu doesn't do that.
I dont support the economic lockdown at all but I don't agree with unnecessary **** carrying on as per normal - ie religious gatherings, parties, huge funerals, protests.

It's a good thing we went into that hard lockdown to fight the virus and get our health care system ready.

Cause the total numbers aren't accurate and the "daily" cases aren't accurate, how can they be when government tests take forever?
2 colleagues (no contact with them) received theirs 4 days after testing.

Someone needs to get WHO and the rest of the world on the same page so we can actually understand whats going on. Because you have 1 side: Vaccine companies saying they're imminently ready to launch, Russia is already planning first vaccinations in October, South Africa is building a vaccine manuf plant...Moderna and friends are at the end of Phase 3 trials so that seems positive?

Then you have the other side where Tedros from WHO come on an say we should not put faith in vaccines and this virus and its effects like social distancing and lockdowns will be with us for many years to come?
