Adjusting strategy based on feedback / as the situation evolves is reasonable and expected.

When politicians unreasonably stick to their guns for fear of someone calling it "backtracking", that's when we get into trouble.

I was going to respond but @Paulsie made the point for me. This is not the first time either that the WHO changed their mind: think of the mask issue where they originally said no need and then they recommended it. It also opposed travel bans originally (https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.te...is-officially-an-international-emergency/amp/)

Tedros, as he is called, said the WHO does not recommend limiting either trade or travel to China at this time. “In fact, we oppose it,” he said. The health organization said it would question border closures, quarantining of airplane passengers who aren’t ill, and similar steps.

Their original strategy was a pure guesswork. Yet they criticized everyone and anyone who did not follow their guesswork.

When they then change their strategy based on feedback (actually closer to those they originally criticized), they are praised for being open minded.

I am referring specifically to the lockdowns. All most all countries that went the lockdown route went a full national lockdown. Now that it's clear (feedback / further info / experience) that localised lockdowns are better there is nothing wrong or unreasonable about issuing new advice.

Come on...
At his current salary he couldn't even think of coming close to affording that on a bond... For cash, there is only one explanation and it is that he is as corrupt as every other anc MEC, MP, etc... He has robbed from the poor to live his lavish lifestyle.

The source of the money would be traceable by SARS. Not sure how he can use ill gotten gains to buy a house cash.

The EFF on Tuesday demanded the embattled member of the executive council for health in Gauteng, Bandile Masuku, step down amidst a growing furore after the provincial government awarded a R125 million contract for personal protective equipment (PPE) to the husband of President Cyril Ramaphosa’s spokeswoman Khusela Diko.
What's the kickback on 125mil... About 9mil???

Do you blame people for believing these types of stories? They are exactly the way we've all come to experience life under the anc... If it is Fake news it flies incredibly close to reality.
