Probably backlogs have been cleared and more targeted testing through contact tracing. I hope it's not a case of a shortage of test kits.

Going back to my point of government securing the loans, no further requirement for lockdown. The troughs are full and the pigs can eat.

We'll see big reductions in the regulations now and some changes even coming before things hit the courts.

LOL they gave up on contact tracing ages ago. They are denying testing, plain and simple. Dunno if it's a shortage or if it's a setup for some political move.

Certainly a political move at play is my guess. Just don't know how they manage to influence private tests.

Just a reminder that beaches are still closed to public. Also why, unlike the taxi industry, the general populace will always get squashed by the government. I think we need the black part of our population to get behind beachgoing. We might actually achieve some leeway...

As long as we'll be allowed to slaughter a beast for a cleansing ceremony.

Not at all shocking. I applaud them for defying the ban. There's also no good reason to be wearing a mask at the beach. Good luck to any virus trying to hover around in the air. Anyway good for those for visited the beach without a mask.

I'm actually surprised the police are still bothering to try to enforce the beach ban. I'd heard that they'd pretty much given up.

Quite a bizarre phenomenon.
Is it possible that the muslim community have more accurate stats as theyre the smallest?

Self-inflicted because Muslims are ignoring the need to isolate, social distance and change their normal behaviours.

Serves them right no sympathy from me.

Dr Brey said the purpose of the data collection was to raise awareness in the Muslim community with a view to increase vigilance.

More important, said Dr Brey, were the community’s cultural and social norms.

We continue with religious gatherings, praying five times a day in a congregational setting; we have community gatherings, socialising over meals, relief work in large numbers and we have close inter-generational ties. All of this is exposure to added risk,” he said.

“Let’s find a way to really shorten them or eliminate them altogether for now and where possible protect each other by staying apart but without neglecting each other.

Make plans to connect virtually. There is very real cause for concern and I urge everyone to take this seriously,” said Dr Brey.
