As for that saying that Afrikaners supposedly often like to say, I've never even heard it before.

The point is that in the opinion piece of which a screenshot was posted by The_Right_Honourable_Brit, Pippa de Bruyn criticised journalists for referring to Matt Hancock as a vaccine specialist. However, they were actually referring to John Bell, not Matt Hancock.

Pippa de Bruyn then claimed that "fokus en f*k voort" is a commonly used Afrikaans saying, even though I've never heard it before.

No, you are right. Recoveries is simply the number calculated to make the books balance.

Total cases = Deaths + Active+ Recoveries.

So my wife took my son to the doctor yesterday for a rash he developed, the doctors were swamped said this week is worse than last week with a lot more people coming in with symptoms than last week. So they've got two waiting rooms, those with symptoms or suspected SARS-Cov2 far away from the main one and the normal waiting room.
Rash turned out to be rolling with the dogs in the veld, apparently blackjack plants can cause irritation.

Hey it's a first for me I never got a rash but then again I wouldn't have rolled in the veld like that. I struggle to get him to actually shower and change clothes regularly. Where as I've always been a shower everyday, fresh clothes, wash hands and and kind of person.
