aww.. shame. Are you hurt sweetie pie?
Can any bright person explain this , please.
What about the 15% . If there were no hospitalizations and deaths , as claimed, why only 85% ?
the Johnson & Johnson vaccine offers 57% protection against moderate to severe Covid-19 infections in South Africa. Given that the new local 501Y.V2 variant dominates nearly all local Covid cases, this means it is effective against the new variant.
Importantly, the vaccine is 100% effective in preventing such severe Covid that the patient would end up hospitalised or dead. This was also the case in its South Africa trial.
Pity the ****ing lying **** didn't act like a real servant of the people and wait till everyone else is vaccinated. Always the rich and powerful jumping to the front of the queue. Bastard.Well done to President taking Jab.
Oh, right, the one time I should have used sarcasm font. The excess deaths do not dispute my claim of a massive decline in cases and deaths.
The second wave will be 95% done in a month at most. Are you just trolling?
Are there 2 types of severe?I don't know the source you quote, but the numbers for J&J are stated here:

Every article says the same, including international news, I would prefer to see hard data on that 15%.It's probably an editing error in the news article: Should say mild to moderate, not moderate to severe. Anyway, it definitely works!

Prevention of severe disease; protection against COVID-related hospitalization and death
The vaccine candidate was 85 percent effective in preventing severe disease across all regions studied,https://www.jnj.com/johnson-johnson...-analysis-of-its-phase-3-ensemble-trial#_edn1 28 days after vaccination in all adults 18 years and older. Efficacy against severe disease increased over time with no cases in vaccinated participants reported after day 49.
The Janssen COVID-19 vaccine candidate demonstrated complete protection against COVID-related hospitalization and death, 28 days post-vaccination. There was a clear effect of the vaccine on COVID-19 cases requiring medical intervention (hospitalization, ICU admission, mechanical ventilation, extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO), with no reported cases among participants who had received the Janssen COVID-19 vaccine, 28 days post-vaccination.
Errrr. The graph provided states total number of dead people weekly on a 2 week interval basis. There then is a baseline of the trend for the same period averaged over previous periods. The difference = excess deaths. The official Covid death stats don't account for the difference.I think the whole excess deaths things without telling us the total number of dead people of all causes is a completely useless thumbsuck of a number and the sooner people stop basing things off of it the better.
Show me the official number of the total number of dead people in SA in 2020. Please.Errrr. The graph provided states total number of dead people on a 2 week interval basis. Efficacy across all regions is different to efficacy per region?Again same source.
In my opinion , the statements are contradicting each other.
The description above that graph:View attachment 1022262
Go to the link, hoover your mouse over the black line for 52 weeks , add the numbers , and you will have your answer. Good luck.
Does estimated mean something different suddenly?A consistent series of the estimated number of deaths is now provided from 29 December 2019
according to ‘epi-week” that runs from Sunday to Saturday.
Show me the official number of the total number of dead people in SA in 2020. Please.
Not what they meant , I think the problem is that moderate includes :Efficacy across all regions is different to efficacy per region?
Moderate COVID-19 disease was defined as laboratory-confirmed SARS-CoV-2 and one or more of the following: evidence of pneumonia, deep vein thrombosis, shortness of breath or abnormal blood oxygen saturation above 93%, abnormal respiratory rate (≥20);
