I thought we were just told doctors are sending 5000 people for tests daily?

"Our little boy took a #CoronaVirusSA test 96 hours ago. Still no result. Lancet call centre tells me backlog is due to 5,000 samples being tested per *day*. If you weren’t already, it’s time for South Africans to take this thing seriously."

Note, this is likely 5k tests a day from private hospitals, now think about how many untested cases there are in the general poor populace right now.

They probably have a backlog of 5 000 tests. There is no way they are doing 5 000 tests a day.

American doctors refused to test Dan Mace so he flew back to SA and unknowingly spread it to his family.


Oh yeah I recognise that guy from a smartwatch review he did about a year ago. That SA connection is a reminder of how globalisation is so extreme.
