Is the two weeks of self quarantine her own safety precautions or a requirement informed by immigration? Does she have to stay away from you as well or is it a house quarantine?

I arrive on at CT on Tuesday.

It's a requirement for all international arrivals.

We doing the whole house quarantine. There's no way we will be able to isolate her for the full two weeks so we all will be in quarantine.

agreed - it should be a first time offence and revoked, similar with public disturbance and noise complaints etc, a liquor license is a privilege, abuse it and lose it one time

Seems like there's no updates on the NICD back-end. Nothing uploaded for 22 March yet.

And the best part is virtually all of those tests are negative, unless the subjects have traveled recently.

Most tests will be negative because, unless there's blood drawn, the viral load isn't high enough for a swab test.

Since I'm so dense, perhaps you can inform me why we've only had 15 positive tests for local transmission?

These were local transmissions through contacts of confirmed infected patients who had travel history.

On my quick trip down to the Cape to "repatriate" my kids, the Guesthouse owners were telling me about friends of theirs that went overseas on a holiday at the beginning of March, knowing full well the implications but still insisted on going.

Now they are back in the country and in isolation as all five of them have the covid!

The tour group WAS IN PIETERMARITZBURG when the man who tested positive was tested.

THEY CONTINUED ON THEIR TOUR KNOWING THAT HE WAS LIKELY INFECTED.
