Not so fast ...are you on an ACE inhibitor ? losartan based for your BP?
Med is showing promise -interrupting the virus ability to replicate, by interfering in its ability to attach to target cells.

Losartan
This hypertension drug reduces blood pressure by preventing a hormone called angiotensin from binding to receptors on blood vessels, allowing them to stay relaxed.

Scientists hypothesized that losartan might help patients with COVID-19 because, as an angiotensin receptor blocker, it obstructs the site through which the virus gets into the cells, Tolar said.

This drug rounds out the trifecta of treatments that University of Minnesota researchers are putting through clinical trials; they have not yet started recruiting subjects, according to the NIH.

Interesting. I am on an ACE inhibitor

Wonder if ANC cadres will be flown abroad for treatment once hospital beds aren't available.

Who the HELL would know?
The guy who posted yesterday's numbers on this thread an hour before the news stations ran the story?

You seem like the type of guy that overestimates their own intelligence. :sneaky:

I was asthmatic as a kid, spent tons of time in hospital and steam tents.... I outgrew the curse when I was 10.

For some odd reason in my mid 30's just after my mum passed I had an attack, landing up back in the hospital....Since then nothing.....But taking no chances I went to my favourite doc and got me a shiny new asthma pump.....

think I need to check what my Prostate and Gout meds might do when I get a visit from Coronaville....

:p

Stopped shopping at PnP a couple of years back, only go there as a last resort. The customer service is appalling.

However, I am happy they have introduced early morning shopping for the old fogies on Wednesday mornings. I hope the Shoprite group follows suit.
Where do you shop now.

Hopefully not Woolworths
