Is this necessary?
It adds no value to the debate
It's all a very grim numbers game unfortunately and so far the numbers look in our favour, but we will have to see.Pretty much.. the whole point of lockdown is not merely to limit spread but also to quickly assess the spread directly via testing & stats (random phase is also part of this) and cases coming in.
Now granted mild cases will go by unnoticed.. the 21 day period was chosen to let it run its course (+/-14 days).
BUT that assumed isolation was perfect. People will claim that we just have lesser cases(mild only) or unreported deaths.. on the latter.. as much as SA has problems, I don’t think that is one of them.
The milder hypothesis is statistically abnormal due to context.. yes we have a younger populous (relatively, this is why politics here is populous.. high unemployment, high youth % check history everywhere) but we also have high rates of hiv, tb & poor housing conditions .. all of which will result in more deaths.
So unless there is a sudden spike in the last week (deaths or infection report due to hospitalization) we will be in a semi contained state. This is where people disagree on how to open up things there after but yah..
It's also a game from the 80s and 90s by defunct Bullfrog studios.*populace. Populous is an adjective
wouldn't it be a third? Cause you can't have 3 halves ;-)We had an issue yesterday about visitors to our gated community.
Half sadi ban all visitors half said we cant issue such an instructions and a third half said call the police. Outcome? No resolution.
Yes you can, because some are so stupid they can't make a point and stick to it. Comment was sarcastic not mathematically correct. In other words there were plenty of "draadsitters".wouldn't it be a third? Cause you can't have 3 halves ;-)
2000 people targeted in Duncan Village. Population 100k.Forced removals?
But yeah, it has to be done. The density in Alex is completely unhealthy
So, lip service :/2000 people targeted in Duncan Village. Population 100k.
2% to be moved.
Some good newsI see that guy that was trending when he made a video of himself with swab in his nose saying test kits are contaminated and contains the virus and that 5G is microwaving people has been arrested.
...and moved to temporary housing. Not sure what the point is TBH. Maybe the 2000 are 2000 in a high density part. Just seems more like a social experiment. So, lip service :/
This is why they need to ease the restrictions slightly and let people exercise on their own, go for walks, etc, just let people out the house for a bit of fresh air, as long as the activity is low riskSemi contained.. because there are plenty morons like the okes in my area who go shopping regularly as a way to get out of the house.. (I see you driving out).
Not sure, but I think many people call him "That Idiot"What was the dude's name with the ear bud in his nose??? Apparently he was responsible previously for claiming to have discovered a body as well... i want to check if there is any truth to that.
One thing South Africans do very well is fck.I was startled to discover that nearly one in five South Africans is HIV positive. I never realised that the number was that high. I wonder if ART might confer some protective effect. Probably not.
