Why the drop in testing numbers on day 1 of mass testing? We supposed to be doing 30k a day so the lockdown only lasts 21 days, right?

Real value mass testing was never planned, and all these quick tests worldwide are now widely considered too inaccurate.
Some of us doubt 21 days was ever the actual decision.

Most countries had an initial lockdown of 21 days, then extended in any case. Going to be the same here. They better allow us to buy some "essentials" soon.

2000 people targeted in Duncan Village. Population 100k.
2% to be moved.

I reckon they need to move around 20 000 people and not the whole Duncan Village. The northern parts (C/D section) and Diphini should be the first targets. Areas adjacent to Gompo, Buffalo Flats, Parkridge maybe not as critical as other areas.

Well, a lot less than that are on the cards it seems, but agree, parts of Gompo are worse... interesting that they picked Duncan Village.

Concerned citizens have expressed shock and disappointment in Communications Minister Stella Ndabeni-Abrahams' possible violation of lockdown regulations.

Former deputy education minister Mduduzi Manana posted a picture of himself and a group of people having lunch at his home.

The picture also showed Ndabeni-Abrahams, who Manana described as a friend, seated at a dinner-table having a meal.

The caption read; "It was great to host a former colleague and dear sister Cde Stella Ndabeni-Abrahams on her way back from executing critical and essential services," the post was captioned.

Too funny. Not only can't abide by the rules themselves, but can't put their selfie sticks down for 21 days for the sake of the country.
What would she have said to an officer of the law at a roadblock do you think?

LOL, Cyril was just asked at a live press conference what would happen to the Minister:
We will call her in and have a discussion with her about the effects of this on public perceptions...

In Scotland and NZ the officials concerned were fired. Maybe we need to do that too ?

Source for the firing? The NZ wanted to resign while the Scottish one did resign.

If only we'd be so lucky.
