US has home test kits now... hopefully we can get those, not sure on details on how they work(if gives results too or have to ship), but ability to walk in to pharmacy and buy one, test yourself and get result would save our limited labs tons of processing time over flu season
I heard them talking on CNN about a home test were a person takes a nasal swab and have to mail it to a lab , not sure if that's the same one

As if he/she is a scientific god of sorts.
Not even close.

I just expect those expressing their opinion to have made the minimum amount of effort required to understand the issue they're discussing.

As opposed to the willfully ignorant disseminating BS.

Weird, I know.

"..shows 14 to 30 percent of intensive-care patients in New York and Wuhan, China - birthplace of the pandemic - have lost kidney function and require dialysis

One review of severely ill patients in China found that about 40 percent suffered arrhythmias and 20 percent had some form of cardiac injury

But a very small number of patients have experienced confusion, low blood oxygen levels and even lost consciousness - a sign that the virus may have traveled along their olfactory nerve endings straight to the central nervous system.

Reports also indicate that the virus can attack the liver ............ncluding one from China on five patients with acute viral hepatitis.

A particular danger of the virus appears to be its tendency to produce blood clots in the veins of the legs and other vessels, which can break off, travel to the lung and cause death by a condition known as pulmonary embolism."

Makes perfect sense, Flu season only starts in June, that's when ILI deaths spike.
Weather was first thought to be a factor with Corona itself, then not, now I think it's considered an influence again but not a large one (or it was just downplayed).
That's how I'm reading it anyway, maybe others have more detail to add.

No, you dictate what is to be considered legit, and twist like a snake when you don't get your own way. You lie to yourself.

/end involvement

Sure, but not more dangerous than the bad flu's we've seen in recent years, they also kill, and also on a relatively small scale.
Either way, the details of how they all kill are certainly scary.

I won't be able to provide a link as I read it quite some time ago, but there was a medical article stating that it is not the virus itself, that is dangerous, but rather your own immune system over reaction.

It is this overreaction that causes pneumonia, renail failure, heart failure and subsequent death. It also stated that people with flu vaccines are more prone to overreacting as their body is artificially programmed to mount a strong response.

THIS alo correlates with recent news, where smokers are likely suffer less severe outcome due to their immune not reacting as strongly (thanks to nicotine).

Slow and steady response is therefore preferred to a strong accute one. That's why different people react differently.

This makes perfect sense to me. It explains why I had such a very bad experience when I had the one and only flu vaccine.
Would really appreciate it if you could find that article again. Probably on one of the anti-vaxxer sites?
