South Africa's mobile data prices compare very well with other African markets, particularly when factoring in the speeds and coverage provided by the top networks in each country.

In a recent interview with the SABC, communications minister Solly Malatsi said data prices need to be reduced so they no longer burden South Africans.

Can we not compare our data prices to countries with 4 Toyota Hiluxes with gun mounts driving around that have 70% of their GDP come from World Bank donations?

We are relatively close to being a first-world country compared to others in Africa, rather compare us with Europe, Asia, Americas etc.

Edit: nvm, i see Egypt and Botswana on their so at least we picked relatively closer ones. Though i still think South Africa's infrastructure is bigger than all of them.
