South African buys Samsung Galaxy S21 FE before official release — posts price

Despite not having launched yet, a South African has managed to buy and unbox Samsung's upcoming Galaxy S21 Fan Edition for R12,999.

A week ago, Reddit user UnknownWon posted a video on YouTube unboxing the brand new mid-range smartphone in an olive green colour.

13k is considered midrange in this day and age? I mean that's about 850$. We're being ripped off here as 800$ is very close to what you pay for high end in the US.

Xiaomi Redmi note 11 pro is half the price for very similar specs

but more practical, as fingerprint sensor is on the power button and the battery is bigger. and it had a headphone jack and IR blaster.

And here I was thinking the apple crapboys, sorry, I meant fanboys were crazy! R18K for a Samsung with specs similar to a lot of mid range phones. He must surely be a big fan, or very stupid, or maybe both.
